Sometimes I get really jealous of people and their relationships with others, other times I don’t care. I’m ready to move out and get away from The Valley. L.A. has given me all that it can.
I’m pretty sure I’m going to start back to working for Kind Kreme soon. I need as much money for Europe and moving out as possible. I also am going to have to start paying my own bills (which I’m terrified of) but more and more I’m feeling like I can handle the qualms of adulthood.
My Labor Day weekend is going to be pretty fucking ballin’. I’m going to San Diego to visit my best friend after work. We’re going to the Padres game, gonna sit on the beach and drink, and catch up because I won’t be able to make it for her birthday next week. I need this vacation so bad, Starbucks is great but it gets overwhelming and people sort of suck so I’m definitely oing to take advantage of all the down time I have.
I need to remind myself that although I don’t have the things that are directly in front of me, I still have a lot going for me that others don’t and I should appreciate that.
A word of warning: This series of portraits by South African photographer Anelia Loubser will have you peering at your screen from strange angles.
Anelia’s project, Alienation, is a collection of upside down black-and-white portraits that transform the human face into new, bizarre forms.
